Hanesbee Escape

We loved everything about this home! It's so cozy and is so much bigger than it seems! Perfect place on the lake, not too far from grocery stores, boat launch etc. We will definitely return next season!!

The house was modern, simple and spacious. The beach was great for the kids to swim off of, and the dock was great for them to jump and dive from, while being a shady, breezy spots for the adults to relax. StayLakeNorman not only made the trip and stay much easier, but they were easy to communicate with and went above and beyond when I reached out to them.

The house was modern, simple, spacious and PERFECT. The covered dock turned out to be the a great relaxing spot that all ages enjoyed, and swimming off the beach and dock was a favorite of the kids. The management company, StayLakeNorman, was fantastic and made the whole trip much easier.

This is our 2nd time renting this place. This time rented it for 6 kids and 6 adults for “cousins spring break.” We had a great time. The location is awesome. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the dock, kayaks, beach and renting a pontoon boat. The adjacent neighborhood is also great to ride bikes, run etc. the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need to cook including ample pots/pans, crock pot and spices. Bring Pam/olive oil etc. 10 minute drive to local grocery stores. We appreciated how well stocked the towels and laundry detergent/dish washing soap was too. Overall this is a great place and we may need to do this every spring break.

Beautiful! right on the water, as are most places on Lake Norman. New home. Cottage style, but plenty of room. Open floor design upon entering. Has a very “open air” quality to it. We will stay again.
Issues: Be prepared to talk to Stay Lake Norman, I guess, the third party admin. that handles everything. They were fine, other than because we decided to stay last minute, they charged an extra 3k deposit, that was silly in my opinion, being that we had already paid that amount for the stay.
The lighting on the dock doesn’t work, so be careful at night.
Very nice home. Plenty of bedroom space and bathroom space.

This house will not disappoint on a quiet cove yet close to all the action. The screened in porch was perfect from Sunrise to Sunset. Seating on the dock was perfect for afternoon drinks and floating in the lake. The house was the perfect size for our family. My only wish would be for a grill not just a blackstone flat top as we cooked all our meals at the house. We have already booked booked for next summer!

We Loved this place! I only wish we had booked it for longer! We had my elderly in laws, our dog and our 5 and 2 yo and every one had a great time. The boat rental was well worth it. There was plenty of space and kitchen. Well equipped. Not to mention that awesome flat top grill. I’m already looking for weekends we can go back!

Found this gem and booked last minute! House was perfect! Rooms were spacious and everything was clean. The outdoor spot for the kids to swim and fish was great! And the fire pit was perfect for smores! Great stay, great price, couldn't be happier!

On a whim we decided to rent a house on Lake Norman for some summer fun! We were able to secure Hanes Bee Escape the same day for a three night stay and it was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! It was above our expectations! The Stay Lake Norman team was very accessible with quick responses to any questions that we had during our stay. Can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay! The house is beautiful, well appointed, and comfortable. Our 5 year old loved the beach and the kayaks. The fire pit area is perfect in the evening and the location is so easy to find and idyllic. We will be visiting again!

3 small hiccups, otherwise the stay was perfect. Cons: 1. The kitchen is weirdly set up (all guests agreed). 2. No dish rags for washing dishes/wiping counters (there was one sponge and dishtowels though). 3. The blackstone griddle/grill was not cleaned. Pros: The isolation was great, the water access and views, the hot tub was clean and ready, the house was well set up, restaurants close by were great. 3 large beds for the adults and the bunk room for the kids was great. The bedding was nice and comfortable. Most of all, with our aging mother, the access in and out of the house was great. The ability for her to enjoy the entire space indoors and out, was fantastic. Just a gentle slope down to the water and dock where she could watch all the grandkids playing. All in all it was a fantastic stay.

We stayed with 2 other families. Everyone loved our weekend getaways! The house is very compact very new. Attention to details in this house is a 5plus star. We utilize the kitchen to the max as we do not like to eat out. We found the kitchen having everything besides a tea kettle and cheese grater. Kids got to swim and enjoy hot tub. Communication was easy and fast. All around perfect and would highly recommend. Hope to visit soon again!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We loved the beach, the high top table down by the dock., the fire pit, hot tub and screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked and convenient. We enjoyed seeing the deer and squirrels. Rachel and Melissa from Stay Lake Norman were always available and very helpful. It was truly a perfect, relaxing vacation!

The house was exceptional! It was extremely clean and appeared to be newly built (9/2022). The water frontage was perfect, with plenty of room to play in the yard, on the beach, sit by the water on the dock, and spend time relaxing in the hot tub. The screened in porch and fire pit were nice additions as well! Would definitely recommend to others!

The house was perfect! Two families fit comfortably in this house. The house was well decorated and well organized. The second fridge for drinks was a bonus. The screened in porch allowed for morning coffee outside while watching the wildlife all around the lake. The boat area was amazing! The kids loved jumping off into the water and fishing off of the dock, while the parents enjoyed watching them, while sitting and enjoying their choice of beverage. The fire pit and hot tub also had their fair share of use!

Everything was great. Only issue I have is the shower drain in the main downstairs bathroom and one of the upstairs showers drained extremely slowly and resulted in significant water standing in the shower. House was beautiful and lot and dock were great.

This property is amazing and immaculate. Perfect spot on the lake. Beautifully appointed rooms and amenities. Hot tub, outdoor screened porch, fire pit, dock with deck seating and your own beach with kayaks! With Adirondack chairs at every step and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, it is an amazing place in the lake for multiple families and friends. We can’t recommend it enough! We will be back!

Our stay at Hanesbee Escape was outstanding. The home was beautiful, modern, exceptionally clean, and had EVERYTHING (literally everything) that we needed. The space was perfect, well stocked with kitchen essentials, towels, and bathroom toiletries. The grounds outside were maintained beautifully with enough outdoor seating to enjoy the morning sunrise and the evening fit pit. The views of the water were calming and breakfast on the screened porch was refreshing. The property is close to several grocery options (15 mins) and the area around the home with only a couple of neighbors out walking their dogs. The management company constantly contacted me (via text) before my trip offering services if needed and during my trip to remind me they were there should I need any assistance. This was by far the BEST rental I have experienced and one I would highly recommend to my closest family and friends. The ONLY wish I had was for the fireplace in the home to be useable (it was decorative). If you are looking DO NOT hesitate to rent this home. You will NOT regret it.

This home has everything you need for a perfect vacation. Fire pit/hot tub/clean spacious/ comfortable beds/kayaks/your very own mini beach and a Complimentary bottle of wine to my surprise was one of my favorites/ check in/out was a breeze.. Melissa was very helpful. I would have given 5stars but early check in and late check out was very costly. My advice to anyone traveling to this location; travel during the day because it was easy to miss the street sign to turn on Hanes Bee. Would definitely stay again just wouldn't pay for the early check in and late check out price!

I am so in love with this home. My dog and I had to travel last minute for a family emergency and Hanesbee Escape was our destination. I love Lake Norman in the fall and this home did not disappoint. It was clean and gorgeous. Off the beaten path with an amazing view of the sunrise (and full moon) from the back porch and the sunset from the front. We enjoyed dinner while watching deer walk the beach in the evening as well. I can't wait to return to Hanesbee for my next visit to the Lake!!!!
